Learn to Skate
Skates can be rented for the entire semester for a one-time fee of $32.00 for the semester, or $64 for Silver and Gold Medal Packages. This includes skate rental for either public sessions and for classes during the entire 8-week semester. Skaters who have passed Basic 3 or Adult 3 may enroll for our Theatre on Ice Learn to Skate USA class. While separate from the IceForum’s nationally and internationally competitive Atlanta Ice Theatre teams, this class introduces skaters to the basics of Theatre on Ice and feeds into the National program. Amendments may be added pending the League Commissioners Official review and approval. The league Commissioner reserves the right to amend or change the rules at any time without prior notice.
Welcome to IceForum Skating Academy!
The only players authorized to play in any IFAHL game are those listed on an official league roster. If you forget the sheet or the dog ate your homework, then I suggest you quickly find a blank piece of paper at the rink and a pen and write it out. If we find a team breaking this rule you may forfeit the game in question and the captain may have a 1 game suspension. Students, their family members, and other supporters should never be concerned if it takes more than one class semester for the skater to successfully complete any given level. No two skaters progress at exactly the same rate, and the learning rate varies from week to week even for the same skater. Each skater is encouraged and allowed to progress at their own rate.
Students who wish to continue their enrollment should consult with their current class instructor to determine the appropriate class level to be assigned in the following semester. For our youngest skaters, aged 3 – 6, we have the Snowplow Sam Series, levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. Tots who pass all four Snowplow Sam levels, and who demonstrate the emotional and intellectual maturity necessary for the Youth Basic series, may continue on to Basic 2.
